Functions Implicitly Defined by Logic Equations - Unique Solutions
The problem of resolving restrictive logic equations occurs in the analysis and synthesis of digital systems. The implicit representation of logic functions is useful to describe the behavior of the systems, and the explicit unique representation is needed to describe the structure. The main aim of this paper is to show an easy way to find candidates of functions, resolving the given equation i...
متن کاملImplicitly Defined Baseball Statistics
Major League Baseball uses statistics to determine awards every season. The batting champion is given to the player with the highest batting average. The Cy Young Award is given to the top pitcher which is determined by many different statistics including earned run average (ERA). Batting average and ERA have been used for many years and are major statistics in baseball. Neither batting average...
متن کاملTriangulation of Implicitly Defined Mid-Surfaces
A method to triangulate the medial axis [1] is modified. In the new method the coping surfaces of a thin-wall object are used for insidedness but ignored for footpoints, yielding the mid-surface, not the medial axis. Three distinct contour-followers are employed. After a brief, manual tagging of the coping surfaces, the method is automatic. It computes a triangulation to arbitrary precision and...
متن کاملApproximate Rational Parameterization of Implicitly Defined Surfaces
We present a method for approximate rational parameterization of algebraic surfaces of arbitrary degree and genus (or more general implicitly defined surfaces), based on numerical optimization techniques. The method computes patches of maximal size on these surfaces subject to certain quality constraints. It can be used to generate local low degree approximations and rational approximations of ...
متن کاملFat Arcs for Implicitly Defined Curves
We present an algorithm generating a collection of fat arcs which bound the zero set of a given bivariate polynomial in Bernstein– Bézier representation. We demonstrate the performance of the algorithm (in particular the convergence rate) and we apply the results to the computation of intersection curves between implicitly defined algebraic surfaces and rational parametric surfaces.
